Course of the training
Machinists produce precision components using cutting processes such as turning, milling, drilling or grinding. In doing so, they use the entire range of techniques, from manual machining to manual lathes and milling machines, to computer-controlled machines.
In addition to producing the components, the main part of the job is setting up, monitoring and quality control.
In order to get to know all the intricacies of the profession, the basic manual skills are first taught before the machines are used. This involves gradually learning not only on the manual machines, but also on the computer-controlled training machines.
The knowledge gained will be deepened with the help of your own projects, among other things. There are no limits to your creativity.
Training at the MOESCHTER Group lasts 3.5 years and is divided into four phases:
- Jahr: Manual production on lathes and milling machines
- Jahr: Computer-aided manufacturing
- Jahr: Assignment in the company
- Jahr: Intensive internal examination preparation
After completing their basic training, machinits for one of two specializations: turning or milling technology. Both directions require deep specialization with regard to the different processes and train qualifications that are also of great importance for the machinery in the environment of a future Industry 4.0.

Course of the training
What is the course of training to become an industrial clerk?
Industrial clerks are incredibly versatile, so that with this training almost all doors are open to you. During your training with us, you will go through the various departments at our company, from sales, production control, warehouse and purchasing to accounting - with us, you will get to know all areas of the company. You will compare offers, check invoices, conduct negotiations, plan production processes and much more.
The goal of this approach is for you to gain the broadest possible knowledge of the company's structure and processes, so that you understand business management. Over time, you will find out where your strengths lie and in which area you would like to work after your training - at the end of your training, we will take these wishes into account and try to give you a perspective with us.
During the entire training period, you will attend vocational school one or two days a week, so that the theoretical content you have learned can be applied directly in practice and you can bring practical knowledge into the classroom.
What you bring with you:
You have at least a secondary school diploma, good grades in mathematics, German and English and organizational tasks suit you. You enjoy commercial thinking and economic understanding. Do you like working in a team, are you determined and communicative? Then the requirements are right.

Every year we offer young, motivated applicants a well-founded apprenticeship in our company in Dortmund. In addition to a thorough induction, you will gain in-depth insights into the company's business structures and processes.
Internal training courses will deepen your knowledge and skills step by step. As part of your training, you will also have the opportunity to carry out school projects and your own projects within the company. If you have the right skills, you also have a good chance of being taken on later.
